White House Garden Club
White House Garden Club are looking for your help to grow a garden with them!
Want to help grow a garden for Dagenham?
Join in embracing the eco-friendly gardening practices to cultivate your own food! The garden club focuses on sustainable methods to nurture our plants and community. Here’s what is planned:
- Regular Gardening Workshops: Learn about eco-friendly growing and garden design.
- Mini-Allotments: Available for local community members to garden in their own time outside of scheduled workshops.
- Seedling and Harvest Sharing: Exchange plants and produce with fellow gardeners.
- Healthy Cooking Classes: Prepare nutritious meals using our garden’s seasonal harvests.
We invite you to be part of this neighbourhood green initiative!
After the workshops, participants can enjoy the freedom to tend their own garden patches using the on-site greenhouse and gardening tools throughout the rest of the calendar year.
You’ll also become part of a new community of Dagenham growers, with more workshops and opportunities to get involved coming soon!
The White House Garden Club is led by Chauntelle Lewis, the Barefoot Planter – gardener, community leader, and East London local.
Young people under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/carer at all times.
Please contact us via whitehouse@createlondon.org if you have any access needs or questions.
The White House Garden Club is supported by City Bridge Trust.
