Vaisakhi Community Day at The New Art Gallery Walsall
Sat 26 April, 12-4pm
Join us to celebrate the birth of the Khalsa and harvest time in Northern India.
Attractions include a dance performance from Gabhru Punjab de Bhangra Team; listen to Simran, Kirtan and Poetry performed by Gobind Sarvar Gurmat School; Tabla performance by world famous Dalbir Singh Rattan and his students; have a go at Kundalini Yoga; enjoy Creative Cohesion display of Sikh Community art; make a sword with artist Daya Bhatti; learn about Banda Singh Bahadur, join in a quiz and win a prize; Mehndi by Mrs Bedi; be a maharaja and have a turban tied.
