The Wind in the Willows: A Garden Adventure
Daily, from Saturday 14 February until the end of 2026
Join Mr Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger, and discover an interactive garden trail and activities based on the well-loved book The Wind in the Willows.
A trail for all year
Step into the enchanting world of The Wind in the Willows: A Garden Adventure at RHS Wisley. Join Mr Toad, Mole, Ratty and Badger for a fun, interactive family garden trail, inspired by Kenneth Grahame’s classic story and E. H. Shepard’s beloved illustrations. Running until December 2026, explore the garden in a new way‚ by discovering activities, games and beautiful illustrations along the route.
As you wander through RHS Wisley’s stunning gardens, chase after naughty Mr Toad, explore alongside Ratty and Badger and venture bravely like Mole. Let the magic of nature and storytelling guide you through the gardens as you learn about wildlife and habitats. You could even enjoy a picnic like Ratty and Mole.
In collaboration with Farshore, part of HarperCollins Publishers, we’re celebrating 95 years of E. H. Shepherd’s iconic illustrations from The Wind in the Willows. The magical trail will spark curiosity and a sense of exploration with sensory boxes, traditional garden games and photo spots perfect for all ages.
