Sweet Treats – Free drop-in family activities

There’s something sweet about Castleford! We’ve been fans of sweet treats for decades.

Learn about the local chocolate factory which made a billion After Eights each year.

Marvel at our glass canes filled with real sweets. Explore the many confectionary connections in our displays.

Use this tasty inspiration to design your own chocolate box and mini glass cane!

Activities will take place from 10am- 3pm on 12th and 13th February and 15th and 16th February*. Castleford Museum is closed on Wednesdays.

*16 February – SEND Session:
SEND groups are always welcome at all of our sessions.
We are also running this SEND session for visitors who benefit from a more relaxed atmosphere.
This session will be run with more sensory activities and more focus on independent learning. There will also be a lower light level and  a sensory tent and ear defenders available upon request.
