Sustainable Spring at Kingfisher Shopping Centre

Celebrate Spring this half term with Kingfisher and Redditch BID’s eco friendly maze
Ahead of The Big Green week in June, Kingfisher, Redditch and Redditch BID are delighted to announce the upcoming ‘Sustainable Spring’ event:
Between Saturday 25th – Friday 31st May and located on Walford Walk, the backdrop is a 30 square metre maze made from Quick Blocks, a
sustainable material made from 100% recycled materials including milk bottles, bottle lids and recycled children’s toys. Guests can explore the
maze and uncover the answers (and lots of fun facts) to the Big Bee Quiz whilst stopping at the various selfie opportunities throughout, including a giant pot of Kingfisher honey!
As well as that, between Monday 27th and Friday 31st May guests can participate in the hands-on nature themed workshops from 11am-4pm at
the same venue. These workshops are free and perfect for all ages with a chance to connect with nature. Workshops will feature a different craft
each day so we encourage repeat visits across the week.
Adrian Field, General Manager at Kingfisher, commented: “The Centre is committed to events and being green, so to combine the two is perfect
and we know that our younger guests will love what is on offer as they did with our Easter and February half term events. We look forward to
welcoming people to take part in the activities, all at no cost to them.”
