Summer at Thinktank Birmingham

Summer at Thinktank Birmingham

With the opening of the new Space Vault exhibition there are lots of space inspired activities taking place at Thinktank Birmingham this Summer.

Moonbase Construction Zone – Daily 21 July – 31 August

Step into the world of space exploration and become an architect of the future.

Unleash your creativity as you use Imagination Playground blocks to design and construct your very own moonbase. Whether you’re a young space enthusiast or a budding engineer, this hands-on activity invites you to think big and dream even bigger.

What would it take to live on the moon? How would you design a base to withstand the harsh lunar environment? Using colorful, oversized blocks, you can create everything from habitats and research stations to launch pads and rovers. Let your imagination soar as you plan and build your vision of humanity’s future on the moon.

Moonbase Building is perfect for visitors of all ages, from children to adults, and it’s the perfect opportunity for families, groups, and solo explorers to collaborate and share ideas. The possibilities are endless—will you build a cozy lunar home or a state-of-the-art science lab? The choice is yours!

No prior experience needed—just bring your creativity and curiosity.
