Returning after two years away, St Albans Gang Show is delighted to be hitting the Alban Arena stage again in February 2023.
Young people aged 11 to 18 in Scouts and Girlguiding across St Albans have been rehearsing since October to prepare for the all singing-all dancing show, which runs from Wednesday 8 February through to Saturday 11 February 2023 at the Alban Arena.

The show is a variety show of big musical numbers across different themes every year. There are also shorter comedy sketches along with small dance and singing numbers. This year will see songs from a wide range of artists and shows such as Queen, Blink 182, Michael Buble, Greatest Showman, Mc Fly, Beyonce, The Weekend, Phil Collins, Glee – to name a few!
St Albans Gang Show is purely volunteer run with over 150 adults from St Albans freely giving up their time to create the show and rehearse the cast, as well as making over 1000 costumes, building all scenery and sets, scoring all the musical numbers for the live band, not to mention all the volunteers covering the administration and management jobs needed to put on a production of this scale.
Gang Show producer Hermione Drew said: “We are over the moon to be back creating our new show. It has been very strange having a two-year forced break from live performances in our 43-year history! We have lots of new cast members who are busy learning songs and routines, and the volunteer team are busy planning fantastic staging and costume designs which we can’t wait for our audiences to see it.”
St. Albans Scout and Guide Gang Show is an award-winning youth show, recently winning best Youth Production two years in a row at the highly-coveted National Operatic and Dramatic Association Awards.
