FROM NOW UNTIL 31 August. New Art Gallery Walsall Summer holiday, drop-in activity. Throughout the summer holidays make Paper Umbrellas – create a paper plate rainy brolly or fold paper into a sunny parasol. Decorate using a variety of art materials. Free. www.thenewartgallerywalsall.org.uk

Every second Wednesday of the month. Upcoming dates: 13 August, 10 September 2025
Suitable for 0-24 months. Multi-sensory sessions for parents, carers and their babies.
£3.50 per child, places are limited, booking essential. Book at Reception or call 01922 654400.
SUNDAY ART CLUB
Our weekly art club for children and young people. Meet artists and creatives and learn to paint, print, sculpt, craft and more!
We welcome donations from families to allow us to offer these weekly artist-led workshops free of charge throughout the year.
Sunday 3 Aug: Persian Carpets – Print repeated patterns onto fabric to make mini Persian carpets.
Sunday 10 Aug: Quiet Places – Create cosy sculptures using wire, paper and feathers.
Sunday 17 Aug: My Place Monoprints – Draw into ink to print your road or town.
Sunday 24 Aug: Paper Plate Nest Weaving – Weave using paper & wool.
Sunday 31 Aug: Flowers & Foil – Draw still lifes into embossing foil & add black sharpies.
Sunday 7 Sept: Who’s in the dog house? Make a dog & kennel with card, clay & pipe cleaners.
Sunday 14 Sept: Den Building – Build tents & dens using boxes, sheets, sticks & string!
Sunday 21 Sept: Stripey Tigers – Make a friendly or fierce tiger with newspaper, pipe-cleaners & wool.
Sunday 28 Sept: Stamps of Home – Create stamps with craft foam & print onto fabric.
