Make the most of May Half Term at Morden Hall Park
With spring flowers in full bloom, warmer weather on the way, Bank Holiday weekends, and half-term school holidays to look forward to, May is the ideal time to get outdoors and enjoy Morden Hall Park.
Young Makers Market, Saturday 18 May, 10am – 4pm
Visit the Young Makers Market where some of the area’s brightest young entrepreneurs, artists and creative talents selling their products or promoting their business. Come and check out their stalls in the Stableyard on Saturday 18 May.
Weekend of wildlife, Friday 24 May – Sunday 26 May
Start the May Half term with weekend of free nature-based activities at Morden Hall Park. Help us count the mice and voles that live in the park with our small mammal trapping event, come on a twilight walk in search of bats or join in with hands-on activities to find living things in the park.

Friday 24 May 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm (setting the traps) and Saturday 25 May, 6:30 am – 8:30 am (checking the traps)
You’ll be setting traps in the evening then come into the park early the next day to record what we’ve found and release them back into the park. Participants must take part in both activities. Booking essential. - Bat walk
Saturday 25 May 2023 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Join us for a twilight walk around the park as we look and listen for bats. Learn about bats and borrow a bat detector to hear their calls and see if you can spot them fluttering above. Booking essential. - Morden wildlife discovery
Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Meet the team and visiting experts to discover the wildlife that calls Morden Hall Park home. Join in with hands-on activities to find living things in the park and learn more about them. No need to book, just meet us in the Information gazebo near the White Bridge at any time.
Robin Hood’s Quest interactive theatre, Wednesday 29 – Friday 31 May
Shadow Road Productions returns to Morden Hall Park for the May half term for outdoor theatre with a difference. With their own twist on the story of Robin Hood, participants will be led on a thrilling trail through the Rose Garden to rescue Robin Hood from the evil Sir Guy of Gisborne. With challenges to try and riddles and puzzles to solve along the way, it’s a race against time to save him.
Tickets £12.50 per child and £3.50 per adult. Session run throughout each day. Ticket prices are £12.50 per child and £2.50 per adult. Suitable for four years upward. Visit the website to book.
