Our sports camps are a fun and exciting way for your child to meet new friends, develop their sporting skills and keep active during the school holidays.
Your child will get to try a number of different sports such as football, kwik cricket, basketball, netball, table tennis, as well as using the swimming pool each day of the programme.
2 weeks from Tuesday 3 April – Friday 14 April 2023
£90 for 4 days or £25 per day
Camps Run Monday– Friday (except on Good Friday and Easter Monday) 08:30 – 09:00 drop off and pick up from 16:30 (all children must be collected by 17:00)
Open to children aged 6 – 11 years
Kids Camps, Sport Central, are based in the City Centre at the University of Northumbria, an easy walk from Haymarket Metro or bus station.
Multi-Sport activities and Swimming offered every day (with fun inflatables!)
A TYPICAL DAY AT SPORTS CAMP
Drop off from 8:30 – 9am where they will need to be signed-in.
The morning sessions run from 9am until 12pm, with a 30minute break around 10.30am to either rest, have a snack or enjoy some free-play. In the mornings children will meet the coaches and other children, play warm up games and take part in the first few sports of the day.
Lunch is from 12-1pm. Everyone will have time to eat their food and have some time to rest. All lunches are supervised by Northumbria staff. There are also vending machines that children can be taken to at lunch time to purchase extra snacks. You’ll need extra pocket money for this.
The afternoon session will include sports up until 4.30pm, with a break around 3pm, with a different sport being offered each 45/60mins. From 4.30pm there will be some fun cool down games and activities.
If you wish to collect your child before 4pm, please inform staff in the morning so they are aware of an early collection.
Please be aware drop off time is from 8:30am – 9am and collection is from 4pm-5pm.
