Moana Film Night Special, Newcastle Castle
Join Moana, the brave and spirited daughter of a Polynesian chief, as she sets out on a daring voyage across the ocean to save her people. With unforgettable music by Lin-Manuel Miranda, stunning animation, and a heartwarming story about courage, heritage, and finding your true self, Moana is a family-friendly epic that’s perfect for the big screen.
The family-friendly film will be screened in the majestic Great Hall of the Castle Keep. Please note, due to the historic nature of the venue, there is no disabled access. Doors open at 6pm, and the film starts promptly at 6.45pm – latecomers may not be admitted to avoid disruption.
Before the film begins, sip on our film-themed tropical drink – a vibrant, island-inspired refresher that’s fit for a wayfinder – and dive into pre-screening fun with hands-on Moana activities, including:
Design your own Maui’s hook – create your own version of the legendary shapeshifter’s magical weapon
Kakamora bowling – knock down these mischievous little coconut pirates in a playful twist on a classic game
We’re embracing island energy, so feel free to come dressed in your Polynesian best – floral prints, ocean blues, or even your favourite Moana character. Dressing up is encouraged for kids and grown-ups alike!
Please note: The Castle Keep can be chilly, even in summer – bring warm layers, cosy blankets, or a friendly demigod to keep you warm!
Also note: All ticket prices are the same price regardless of age.
