Join us in the atmospheric Great Hall of Newcastle Castle for another fantastic film. This time, we have Flash Gordon (1980).
Flash Gordon is a 1980 space opera superhero film directed by Mike Hodges, starring Sam J. Jones, Melody Anderson, Ornella Muti, Max von Sydow and Topol, with Timothy Dalton, Mariangela Melato, Brian Blessed and Peter Wyngarde in supporting roles.
The film follows star quarterback Flash Gordon (Jones) and his allies Dale Arden (Anderson) and Hans Zarkov (Topol) as they unite the warring factions of the planet Mongo against the oppression of Ming the Merciless (von Sydow), who is intent on destroying Earth.

The film will take place in the Great Hall of the Castle Keep. Unfortunately, this venue has no disabled access due to the historic nature of the building. Doors will open at approximately 6pm, with the film starting at 6.30pm. We cannot guarantee entry after the film has started to avoid disruption.
Please note: It can get very cold in the Castle Keep, so please dress in warm clothes!
