FIRST BREATH SUMMER CELEBRATION

FIRST BREATH SUMMER CELEBRATION

Celebrate the seasons with the First Breath Summer Celebration! Join us as we celebrate the babies who took part in Luke Jerram’s extraordinary installation First Breath, and welcome families from across Greater Manchester to share a moment together like no other.

Taking over the whole of Aviva Studios, the First Breath Summer Celebration presents a series of fun, interactive activities inspired by the seasons and designed for little ones aged 18 months to 3 years.

Each area of Aviva Studios represents a different season. Experience a colourful Spring – the first time you smelt a blossom in bloom – in the Hall Foyer with floral-themed arts and crafts, nature-inspired soft play and a giant mural you can help create with artist Venessa Scott. Outside in the Undercroft, explore Summer – the first time you felt the warmth of sunshine on your face – and enjoy outdoor play with water walls, sandpits, giant lawn games and a cardboard city to explore and creative with! With roaming street theatre, giant bubbles, nature inspired stilt walkers and a toddler dance session led by Afrocats plus Ginger’s Ice cream.

Explore Autumn in the Hall – the first time you crunched through leaves – with Conker Crew bringing the outdoors inside to create a relaxed autumnal space with beanbags, crafts and sensory play alongside Professor Jiggett and his enchanting stories. Then get ready to party in the South Warehouse for Winter – the first time you saw a snowflake fall – with an epic UV disco, LED light installations, Adventure Babies, face painting and bubbles and DJ Helen.

Ready to explore with your little one? Come together with our wonderful First Breath families for a day of curiosity, discovery and fun.
