Fireside Stories with Father Christmas 26 Nov-24 Dec BOOK EARLY!
The popular Fireside Stories is returning for 2022, where children can meet Father Christmas in the spectacular castle setting. Selected dates from 26th November – 24th December
Come and meet Father Christmas this winter season in the spectacular setting of Raby Castle! Follow our festive footmen through glittering halls and gather round our roaring fire in the Entrance Hall for a special story with Father Christmas. He might even bring a present or two!
Complete with song, dance and laughter, this magical experience at Raby has become a wonderful Christmas tradition for our visitors.

Experience our Enchanted Christmas Trail in The Plotters’ Forest with friends and family this festive season. Delight in our twinkling lights and Christmas music as you wander around our winter wonderland. The Christmas trail comes alive at night illuminated under the dark skies.

12 Day’s of Christmas Trail in the Deer Park 26 Nov -24 Dec
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me….
This Christmas, families can set out on a winter exploration of the Deer Park, following the clues of a famous festive song. Keep an eye out for swans a swimming, turtledoves and even lords a leaping as you enjoy our natural winter wonderland. Spot the wild herds of red and fallow deer and enjoy the magnificent views of our medieval castle on your travels.
This trail is included FREE with every Deer Park ticket.
Christmas Market 3-4 Dec
Christmas is a magical time at Raby. One of our highlights of the festive season is our Christmas Market. Come and browse our lovely stalls discover lots of delicious treats, seasonal produce and beautiful homemade products from local suppliers. The perfect place to pick up a special gift. Our Stables Shop will be open also and decked to the halls with boughs of holly – and unique Christmas treasures.
We will be serving takeaway food and drink to keep you energised whilst you shop. Why not warm up with a glass of our spiced mulled wine? Our Stables Yurt will also be open for refreshments and lunch and local choirs and brass bands will keep you entertained with festive carols.
Enjoy the woody scent of pine, as you pick your perfect Christmas tree. Grown on the Raby Estates, our visitors love the tradition of collecting their Raby tree. From local gifts to homegrown trees, take a piece of Raby home with you this Christmas.
Parking and entry to the market is FREE.

Raby’s annual Christmas Market will showcase festive gifts and delicious treats from local suppliers and for a relaxing treat, festive afternoon teas can be enjoyed in the majestic setting of the castle.
Additional Christmas experiences in the makestic setting of the castle include Festive Afternoon Teas, a Wreath Workshop, Traditional Christmas Pudding Workshop, as well as Yoga by Candlelight.

Raby Christmas Trees – there’s nothing like the smell of a real Christmas tree to make you feel festive! From 26 Nov 10am – 4pm
Raby will once again be selling freshly cut Christmas trees to decorate your home for the festive season. From Nordman Fir to Norway Spruce, there will be plenty of sizes to choose from. Why not make a day of it and enjoy a hot cocoa from the Cafe and a browse around the Christmas Shop? No need to pre-book, come and choose your perfect tree and take a piece of Raby home with you this Christmas.
