SPRINGTIME WILD ESCAPE EVENTS

WILDLIFE WORKSHOPS
SATURDAYS  1, 18, 15 APRIL
Help create a vision for the future where we are protecting biodiversity and living in harmony with animals and plants within our cities. Use recycled materials to make a collage that will be included in an exhibition, opening on Earth Day 2023. 11.00am – 12.30pm and 2.00pm – 3.30pm. Free or pay what you can. Suitable for ages 7 to 11

EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
SATURDAY 22 APRIL
Join us for the opening of the Wild Escape young people’s art exhibition, with their vision for the future! Book to see the interactive show, Invasion of the Flingatrons. Help Time Travellers EcoForce 57 save the day in the battle against the Flingatrons by reducing, reusing and recycling!
Take part in this collaborative performance exploring climate change. 11.00am – 11.45am

Drop in for a creative workshop making ‘cards of kindness’ with artist Kanj Nicholas and share your message of being kind to the planet using collage and drawing.
12.00pm – 3.00pm. Suitable for ages 4 to 12. Pay what you can, book online or pay on the day

SPRING NESTS
TUESDAY 4 APRIL
Be like a clever bird and weave, stitch, tear, stick and model a cosy nest. Use upcycled and natural materials with the help of artist Sam Mace and decorate an egg to sit inside. 10.30am – 1.30pm. Suitable for ages 4 to 12. Drop in, £3 per child.

PORTRAIT PICTURES
WEDNESDAY 5 APRIL
Use your drawing and painting skills along with colourful materials to explore your idea of family and friendship. Inspired by Eugene Palmer’s exhibition, join artist Kom Achall to make a portrait that stands out! 10.30am – 1.30pm. Suitable for ages 4 to 12. Drop in, £3 per child.

DECORATE AN EGG CUP FOR
GOOD FRIDAY
FRIDAY 7 APRIL
Pick up an egg cup and some porcelain paint pens so that you can eat your boiled eggs in style! 11.00am – 1.00pm. Suitable for ages 4 to 12. Drop in, £2 per child

SPRING PATTERNS
TUESDAY 11 APRIL
Drawing inspiration from the shemza.digital exhibition, get your creativity flowing with artist Kanj Nicholas to work with shapes, pattern and line to create artwork that captures the colours and shapes of spring. 10.30am – 1.30pm. Suitable for ages 4 to 12. Drop in, £3 per child.

CREATIVE KALEIDOSCOPES
WEDNESDAY 12 APRIL
Play with pattern and colour by making and decorating your own fun-filled kaleidoscope with artist Kathleen Fabre. 10.30am – 1.30pm. Suitable for ages 4 to 12. Drop in, £3 per child.

BHANGRA DANCE FOR VAISAKHI
FRIDAY 14 APRIL
Join Sohan Kailey for a high energy session of Bhangra, the harvest festival agricultural dance of Punjab. Learn dynamic moves to vibrant music, beginners welcome. Get ready to move your feet to the Bhangra beat! 11.00am – 11.45am. Suitable for ages 8 to 14. Pay what you can.
