Easter at the Royal Air Force Museum Midlands

Easter at the Royal Air Force Museum Midlands

This Spring Get Ready for Take Off!

Drop into the Royal Air Force Museum Midlands for FREE and explore the fascinating stories behind the Museum’s world-beating collection of aircraft. If that wasn’t enough, the Museum has a range of special family events running throughout the Easter Holidays and at weekends that will both excite younger visitors’ imaginations while entertaining the whole family.

From 23 March to 7 April the Museum will be hosting Space Race and Fly,  in our multi-awarding winning National Cold War Exhibition. This event will include family favourites from the explosive Volatile History of Chemistry science show to the Space Odyssey Planetarium and the Museum’s popular Stargazing Evenings.

The Museum will be also hosting the Apollo 11 Academy – an interactive 40-minute  show that explores the race to put a man on the moon and places its visitors in the centre of the journey.

Family friendly facilities include extra wide aisles for push-chairs, baby buggy parks, baby changing rooms in each of the Museum’s Hangars, plus a Changing Places Toilet in the Museum’s Visitor Centre.  Don’t forget to drop in on Flight Zone, where for a small charge visitors can either paraglide down a virtual course, take the pilot’s seat in a virtual Spitfire, or ride a Typhoon Jet through the Cumbrian countryside in our simulator. The Museum is open daily from 10.00am. Admission is FREE.
