Easter at Hever Castle

Easter at Hever Castle

Step into a world of dragons, daring quests and Easter magic at Hever Castle with The Great Dragon Egg Hunt!

From Saturday 28th March to Sunday 19th April, families are invited to enjoy a thrilling Easter adventure set within the historic grounds of Hever Castle. Brave young adventurers are needed to help the dragons by searching for their hidden eggs, tucked away deep within the grounds.

As children explore the grounds, they’ll uncover fascinating dragon facts and collect hidden letters to solve a secret word puzzle. Once the quest is complete, adventurers can head to the information kiosk to reveal their answer and collect a well-earned prize.

Over the Easter weekend, from Friday 3rd to Monday 6th April, meet Inferno the dragon during unforgettable meet-and-greet sessions at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

Guests can enjoy a fiery photo opportunity and a truly magical encounter, all included in admission. Should the weather turn wet, Inferno will be resting his wings, but Sapphire the friendly dragon will be on hand to meet visitors instead. Each encounter lasts approximately 15–20 minutes.

Creative adventurers can also take part in a Dragon Shield Craft Activity, running daily from 11am to 5pm. Children can design and make their own dragon shield before proudly carrying it with them on their quest – another activity included in admission.

For an extra splash of colour, themed face painting will be available on selected dates. A small additional charge applies, with time slots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see the website for full details.

Just in time for the Easter holidays, the much-loved Hever Castle Water Maze reopens, inviting families to dive into one of the estate’s most exhilarating outdoor attractions.

Packed with winding pathways, unexpected dead ends and playful interactive water features, the maze challenges children to put their problem-solving skills to the test as they race to find the centre. Perfect for energetic explorers, it offers a refreshing mix of adventure and laughter and a brilliant way to cool off while enjoying the great outdoors during a day at Hever Castle.

Beyond the Easter activities, spring is a beautiful time to explore Hever Castle’s award-winning gardens, bursting with seasonal colour from late daffodils to vibrant tulips. Younger visitors can burn off energy in the Tudor Towers adventure playground for ages 7-14, while under-7s can enjoy the natural play area, Acorn Dell, featuring tunnels, climbing structures and a giant sandpit.

Families can round off their day with seasonal, home-cooked food and delicious cakes from the restaurant, enjoy a picnic within the estate grounds, or browse a wide selection of gifts, plants and homeware in the Hever Shop.
