On your family day out, say hello to cute farm animals including micro pigs, fluffy sheep, adorable pygmy goats and even reptiles!  At Adventure Valley you can get as close as you want.

Always something new to see & do at Adventure Valley!

Runaway Ranch

Get ready for some serious outdoor play fun! Whoosh down the giant slide in Runaway Races* with inflatable rings, fly along the zip-line and use your imagination to play, play, play in Forty Towers! And once you’ve exhausted yourself you can grab a drink from the Round Table Cafe (seasonal) and have a sit down in Picnic Ranch for five minutes before the fun starts again! *Please note children need to be aged 4 or older to ride our Runaway Races, opening times may vary.

Action Creek

Right next to Cafe Italia’s Sun Terrace and packed full of family fun for your day out. You’ll need plenty of energy to make the most of Action Creek! Zoom round the track on the pedal go-karts, swing on the Dragon Swing, or jump as high as you can on the jumping pillows, including the biggest jumping pillow in the UK, where mum and dad can have a go too, and a small one just for little ones. You can have fun on all of the outdoor play equipment from slides and frames to giant sandpits and swings; there’s even designated areas for under 5s!   Action Creek is also where you’ll be able to jump on the tractor ride for one of our timetabled  trips to the River Wear and back, taking in beautiful scenery along the way.

Sweet Tweets & Cute Animals

You can admire the beautiful and unusual birds we have in our Sweet Tweets aviary and on our Water Wildlife pond, you can even feed some of the animals you’ll see in the paddocks – keep an eye out for Nibbles the Donkey – he loves attention! Watch the greedy little goats climb up to the top of Goat Mountain, fill the trailer up with yummy food and wind it all the way to the top, they love it!
