Tettenhall College

Education & Childcare, Schools
Tettenhall College building in Wolverhampton

Tettenhall College is a co-educational independent day and boarding school for pupils aged 2-18 years old. The school is committed to providing an outstanding personalised education, combining strong academic standards with a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Located in the beautiful village of Tettenhall, the school stands on 33 acres of stunning grounds which is home to a wonderful campus full of heritage buildings, modern facilities, acres of woodland, playing fields, pitches, on-site indoor swimming pool and a full-scale Victorian theatre. It is quite possibly one of the most wonderful educational settings within the region.

The school operates several weekday mini bus services across areas in the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Shropshire and can usually accommodate specific stops along a route. If using public transport, the Tettenhall Road is easily accessible.

Tettenhall College is a school with so much to offer, offering pupils an encouraging, supportive, and caring environment to learn in. Small class sizes are a key strength, allowing teaching staff to understand their pupils and respond to their individual needs, whether academic, practical, or emotional. Every child’s contribution to school life is recognised and every success is shared.

There’s a core set of values followed daily at TC: Ambition, Character, Community, Creativity and Opportunity. Simple statements perhaps. Yet values are only meaningful when the children understand their meaning and how they can personally bring them to life in everything they do.

Outside of the classroom Tettenhall College have an extensive range of activities, clubs, and societies that pupils can access. Whether it’s through extended day programme which runs immediately after lesson or through joining one of a host of enrichment programmes or clubs such as The Duke of Edinburgh Award, sport, music, drama and many more!

Boarding is a wonderful opportunity for pupils to experience independence and get a taste of life away from home in a safe, supported, and nurtured environment. Not only do boarders join us from overseas but from around the UK too which combined brings a wonderfully cosmopolitan and enriching aspect to the whole school. Increasingly, many of our day pupils are taking up the opportunity to try flexi or weekly boarding especially during busy examination periods or when preparing for major productions.

Whether pupils join in Preparatory School, Senior School or Sixth Form, all pupils join a wonderfully close-knit community.

Scholarships and bursaries
