SENDiass for BCP

Education & Childcare, Special Educational Needs
SENDiass for BCP Advice services for those with special educational needs across Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole

Who are SENDiass for BCP?
SENDiass for BCP are the Special Educational Needs Disabilities Information, Advice & Support Service. Every area has one and they’re a free, impartial & confidential service for children and their parents/carers.

When can you use them?
When your child is struggling at school, it can be a very worrying time. It’s not easy to know what children will just ‘grow out of’ and when they’re struggling because they have an unmet need at school. Even when you think they might have an unmet need, it can be difficult to know what help you can ask school for or where to turn next.
This is where SENDiass can help, they can advise you of the law and responsibilities of your school/local authority to support your child.
What can the do?

SENDiass for BCP can advice you on:
Your rights, options & responsibilities.
Education, Health Care Plans
Help with paperwork, completing forms, writing letters & understanding reports.
Support preparing for and attending meetings.
Resolving disagreements
