Ipswich Fireworks returns to Christchurch Park with a Halloween twist
Ipswich’s much-loved fireworks night is getting a spooky makeover this year, with lasers joining the display for a Halloween celebration in Christchurch Park.
Families can head to Christchurch Park on Saturday 31 October 2026 for the annual Ipswich Fireworks event, organised by the 11th Ipswich Scout Group.
The gates open at 6pm, giving families time to arrive and settle in before the fireworks begin at 8pm. The event continues until 10pm, with live music and entertainment during the evening.
A fireworks night with a Halloween feel
This year’s event is billed as the 2026 Fireworks Spooktacular, with laser technology being added to the fireworks display.
There will also be live music and entertainment during the evening. And with the event falling on Halloween, families can add a spooky twist to their fireworks night and get the kids dressed up if they fancy it.
What families need to know
Tickets go on sale Thursday 1 October and are available online only through the official Ipswich Fireworks website.
Tickets are priced at £12.99 for adults and £8.99 for children aged 5 to 15. Children under five can attend free.
The event takes place at Christchurch Park, Bolton Lane, Ipswich, IP4 2BX.
There is no public car parking at the event, so families are advised to use public transport or town-centre car parks. Limited disabled vehicle parking is available on site and can be booked when purchasing an entrance ticket.
Several park entrances will be open from 6pm, including Soane Street, Fonnereau Road, Park Road and Westerfield Road.

Supporting local Scouts
The fireworks have a long history in Ipswich. The 11th Ipswich Scout Group first organised the Christchurch Park display in 1972, and the event is now a regular fixture in the town’s autumn calendar.
Proceeds from the 2026 event will support the 11th Ipswich Scout Group, helping fund its activities for young people across Ipswich.
