At Colets, we believe fitness should start from an early age. To support parents in getting their children active, here are some tips to help your kids get off their screens and move with purpose. 

Children mirror what we do as parents – bike rides or morning jogs show that movement is part of family life, a lesson that sticks.

Connect activity to a purpose – children move more when it has meaning, such as a fun run, charity walk, or team practice.

Keep it social – kids thrive on connection. Movement that involves friends and teamwork, so it feels like belonging, not just exercise.

Make it fun. Exercise should feel energetic, imaginative, and a little silly to keep kids engaged. So, why not try out this Bunny Bootcamp and get the whole family moving?

 

BUNNY BOOTCAMP

1. BUNNY HOPS | 30-60 SEC

  • Kids: Hop on one leg
  • Adults: Squat jumps

2. FROG LEAP BURPEES | 30-60 SEC

  • Kids: Frog jumps + stand tall
  • Adults: Burpees

3. CARROT CRUNCHES | 1 MINUTE

  • Kids: Use a carrot or a light object
  • Adults: Weighted crunches or sit-ups

4. BUNNY BICEP CURL | 1 MINUTE

  • Kids: Light object or carrot
  • Adults: Dumbbells, curl arms up, then lower

5. EGG PLANK HATCH | 1 MINUTE

  • Forearm or high plank, place a small egg in one hand
  • Alternate moving the egg to each side while keeping your body stable
