Christmas Cinema Planetarium Shows at Thinktank

Step into a winter wonderland… under the stars.

This Christmas season, Thinktank Planetarium’s cinema-style screening will sparkle with cosmic cheer. Settle in and enjoy a specially chosen festive space-themed film, where twinkling stars meet holiday magic in a setting sure to warm hearts of all ages.

4 December: The Muppet Christmas Carol
A festive retelling of Dickens’ classic, with the Muppets delivering heart, humour, and holiday cheer. Film Rating: U

5 December: Elf
A hilarious holiday classic where Buddy the Elf spreads cheer, chaos, and Christmas spirit in New York City Film Rating: PG

EVENT INFORMATION

Main Thinktank doors are open from 4pm.
Please enter the museum from Level 0, the Thinktank Main Entrance.
Once you’ve presented your tickets at the welcome desk, you’re free to explore the museum before the film.

Planetarium doors open by 4:25pm.
The Planetarium is located on Level 3.

The film starts at 4.30pm.
There are no trailers and the film will start promptly.
It’s difficult for us to admit latecomers, so please aim to arrive with plenty of time to spare!

Pre-booking is essential as places are limited. Seating is unallocated.

This film was not made to be projected in a full-dome format, but we will be using our big cinema screen inside the dome.
