Oh no, Santa has lost his list of Christmas essentials, from reindeer bells to the brightest star! Follow the fun box trail, solve festive clues, and help Santa find everything he’s missing to save Christmas. Complete your trail sheet and claim a special prize at the end! Celebrating the North York Moors Dark Skies Festival for the 11th year!

February 2026 is special for our skies as we celebrate our 11th Dark Skies Festival. Families can look forward to a variety of exciting activities that celebrate the beauty of the night sky.

During the festival, the North York Moors National Park will host an array of incredible stargazing sessions, where you can gaze up at the stars and learn about the constellations with the help of local astronomers. Children will be captivated by stories of the stars and the mysteries of the universe. There will also be fun activities like night-time nature walks, where families can discover how the nocturnal world comes alive after dark.
