Clean up Kidderminster and Stourbridge

The Great British Spring Clean: A Call to Action for a Cleaner, Greener Community. How you can help clean up Kidderminster and Stourbridge.
As spring awakens, so too does an exciting opportunity for families to get involved in the Great British Spring Clean! Organised annually by Keep Britain Tidy, this nationwide campaign encourages people to roll up their sleeves, get outdoors, and help tidy up their local areas. It’s the perfect way to make a tangible difference while embracing the season of renewal.
Hannah from Wild Earth Movement shared her thoughts on the importance of this clean-up: “It’s so important to clean up our areas before nature comes out of hibernation and starts to flourish. All that’s litter and plastic hiding in the bare branches will soon be hidden by green leaves and abundant blooms. If you can get outdoors on the weekend for 30 minutes and do your bit, it all helps, or join a local litter picking group near you for a bit of fun and to meet like-minded people. We can all do a little something to help, even if it feels insignificant! The fresh air feels so good after a long winter too!”
Getting involved is easy. Whether you dedicate 30 minutes of your weekend to picking up litter in your local park, or you choose to join a local litter-picking group, your efforts can have a significant impact. Not only will you be improving the beauty of your community, but you’ll also help protect wildlife and create a cleaner environment for future generations.
So why not make it a family affair? Gather the kids, grab some gloves, and take part in the Great British Spring Clean. Together, we can help ensure that our local parks, streets, and green spaces are free from litter and plastic—just in time for nature to thrive!
