Whitlenge Gardens is a wonderful 3-acre garden in Worcestershire, suitable for all ages to explore and enjoy a family day out.
There is a tearoom on site selling delicious cakes and refreshments.
Plants can also be purchased from the onsite garden centre, or visit the gift shop for that special present.
Children’s Activities & Play Area
There is a Fairy trail to follow through the garden searching for fairies and fairy doors. Within the gardens, you can ‘meet’ The Green Man, the Rusted Knight of Olde, see Excalibur in its Stone, and then wander through the ‘Fairy Glen to find ‘Hobbiton’.
There are ‘Dressing up’ options at the beginning of the garden suitable for all ages. Choose from Fairy wings, headdresses, butterfly masks, Gnome hats, Gnome Jackets and more to create your own character.
Enter the Cave with its swirling mist to find the witch’s cauldron, then run around the turf labyrinth and make a wish. Stroll through the mown tracks and pathways of the beautiful wildflower meadow then head over to the wildlife area which is open on special days throughout the year for pond dipping and educational days.
School Holidays:
Seasonal Garden Hunts run throughout the year with different themes, e.g., Easter egg hunt, Wildlife, Summer theme, Halloween, and Christmas.
The enclosed playground has a pet’s corner and living willow tunnel, slide, castle and play house. Children can use up that last bit of energy before the drive home. Entry is included in the garden trail admission cost, or if you do not go around the garden you can still gain entry by purchasing a drink or food from our own Tearoom.
NB. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times & no dogs are allowed in the garden or play area.
