Razzamataz Students spreading kindness and love with Random Acts of Kindness
At Razzamataz kindness is a big part of our ethos and we promote friendship and equality within all of our sessions. Building a supportive and inclusive community is a priority to all the team and the students therefore to all of the team and students and therefore last term we challenged our senior students to spread love and peace in their communities with Random Acts of Kindness.
Senior students come together on a termly basis for a social evening but the night is also packed with self development and learning opportunities. These evenings are exclusive to our Razzamataz Seniors and have a different focus and aim at each one.
Their objective: To create the biggest impact of kindness with a budget of £2 Students spent time exploring their ideas and then they were guided through a Goal setting activity and how to put an action plan together. Our Seniors had 1 month implement their Act of Kindness and report back to our Razzamataz Sheffield HQ with the impact of their ideas.
Student ideas include:
– Making food to deliver to people without homes
– Designing ‘Happy Rocks’ and hiding them around Sheffield
– Making treats for their form at school
– Write a letter to their parents
– Volunteer with children and lead an activity
– Affirmation Cards
– Paint positive pictures
– Bake for Neighbours
– Volunteer in Care Homes
– Give to a Charity Shop
– Donate Toys to Children
– Shoe Box Appeal
– Water neighbours’ gardens
– Make crochet animals to hand out
After the deadline, students will report back to Razzamataz with an evaluation of their success.
We now challenge you to do the same! Can you turn £2 into something kind? You have until ‘National Random Acts of Kindness Day’ on 17th February to create the biggest impact of kindness that you can in order to win a month free at Razzamataz.
