At the Outdoors Project West Sussex we are all about getting kids outdoors and active. In an age of ever-encroaching technology we are firm believers in the benefits of fresh air, adventure and outdoor play; we don’t think rain is ever a good reason to stay inside!
We run after school clubs across the county and holiday clubs during every school holiday. We also run birthday parties and school workshops. We are constantly looking for new, fun and creative ways to enjoy the outdoors and we can have a great time in any outdoor space from the most humble playground to the most beautiful ancient forest.
All of our staff hold a current enhanced DBS check and all of our leaders are first aid trained. Our activities are truly diverse and you will find something within our programme for every child to enjoy.
NERF activities at The Outdoors Project West Sussex are great for getting energetic and a little more competitive, and the craft-based activities are wonderful for fostering creativity. Bug-hunting and nature-detective activities inspire curiosity and children will invariably find something to wonder at even in their local seemingly-familiar park. Whatever the main activity is for the day we always make time for games, and we have hundreds of those up our sleeves! We have themes we return to but no two days are ever the same.
Over-arching all that we do is a simple appreciation and delight in spending time outdoors. We’re a nation obsessed with our fickle weather but The Outdoors Project West Sussex is run by people who get outside and enjoy themselves no matter what is thrown at us. Our energy and enthusiasm is infectious and we hope that all the kids who come to our clubs carry that same energy, enthusiasm and passion for the outdoors with them into their adult lives.
