Join us at Brooklands Museum this May half term to discover marvellous inventions, inspired by the brand new Barnes Wallis exhibition.
Step back in time to the days of innovation, determination and record breaking on the site of the world’s first race track at Brooklands Museum.
This Half Term, get involved in the various family activities that are running:
Costume Characters
Our Design legends will be around the Stratosphere chamber from characters such as Barnes Wallis and other prominent Brooklands ‘inventors’.
Family Workshop
Based in the Stratosphere chamber, drop-in to this family craft workshop to learn more about design and simulation work.
The workshops are free and recommended for over 5’s – just drop in!
Explore the secrets of Brooklands Museum
Uncover marvellous inventions of Brooklands with a new discovery trail that takes you on a journey through the historic site.
The trails are free and can be collected at admissions when you arrive or from Visitor Information in the Clubhouse. No need to pre-book.
Hear, See and Smell the magnificent machines
Join London Bus Museum on a vintage bus for a relaxing ride out and around Brooklands. Subject to weather. View the London Bus Museum’s timetable here.
Pedal Planes and Cars
It’s never too early to inspire future race drivers or pilots with our pedal planes and pedal cars for under 5’s running every day throughout the holidays.
Concorde Supersonic Walkthroughs
A Concorde walkthrough for children, families, and young people. Explore the magnificent Brooklands Concorde, Delta Golf, and hear about the amazing adventures it had! The family-friendly tours will take-off at 10.25, 10.45 and 11.05 Monday to Friday over the half term week. Children must be accompanied by a guardian or adult. Additional £3.00 per person.
The walkthrough is recommended to children between the ages of 3 and 12, but older children are welcome. The maximum number of children per adult is 5. We strongly advise booking these in advance.
PLUS: Snacks and drinks are available from the café, or bring your own refreshments to enjoy in our picnic areas.
