May Half Term at Durham Cathedral
Bring the whole family along for an adventure at Durham Cathedral this May Half Term.
Monday 29 – Saturday 3 June 2023, 11am-3pm
The whole family can get crafty using recycled materials at Durham Cathedral during the school holidays. Learn how to make new things from the materials we already have as we explore how recycling helps us to care for our planet.
- In 2023 we’re exploring all the ways we can care for our planet, so these craft activities will use recycled materials to make something fun.
- Follow the Bede the Bear trail around the cathedral and let off steam on a walk around the woodlands and riverbanks surrounding the cathedral.
- Kids over 8 years old can climb the 325 steps to the top of the Tower, book tickets here.
- Curl up with a book in the reading nook
- Explore blockbuster filming locations, including the Chapter House that was once used for Professor McGonagall’s classroom. Explore the areas once used as Harry Potter Filming Locations
- Let off steam in the woodlands and riverbanks surrounding the cathedral
