Christmas at The Royal Albert Hall
The Royal Albert Hall has been the home of Christmas in London for 150 years.
We’re thrilled to open our doors again this December to share the magic of our favourite season.
This year’s programme is full of heart-warming live events to be enjoyed with your loved ones.
There’s something for everyone, from our Christmas carols to traditional concerts, jazz, drag, soul, classic ballet and so much more.
Highlights include:
My Christmas Orchestral Adventure
Calling Santa’s little helpers!
My Christmas Orchestral Adventure returns in 2022 and Albert’s Orchestra is poised and ready for a magical journey through classical music, giving many children their first experience of a live orchestra.
Oh no! Father Christmas has lost his map on a practice run of his delivery route! Thankfully our trusty ensemble has found it but they need your help to return it to him ahead of the big day!
We need to zip around the world on an orchestral adventure to track him down. Along the way we’ll ice skate on frozen lakes, go on a sleigh ride and enjoy a white Christmas, all without leaving the Royal Albert Hall’s magical auditorium.
The Nutcracker!
Experience the true magic of Christmas, as Clara’s toys come to life at the stroke of midnight. Journey through a fantastical winter wonderland of dancing snowflakes to the kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Created exclusively for the Royal Albert Hall and returning for the first time in three years, this classic Nutcracker is the largest production in the UK, brought to life by Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Royal Ballet Sinfonia orchestra.
Tickets: £30 – £95
Carols at the Royal Albert Hall
As the home of Christmas in London, the sing-along carol concerts at the Royal Albert Hall have become a festive favourite, selling out every year. From traditional carols such as ’12 Days of Christmas’ and ‘Silent Night’ to modern wintertime arrangements ‘Winter Wonderland’, this event is set to ignite the Christmas spirit.
Tickets: £20 – £70
Guy Barker’s Big Band Christmas
Guy Barker’s Big Band Christmas is back for its 7th year – expect a swinging, soulful celebration of big band music with a Christmas twist!
We can’t wait to welcome you back to celebrate Christmas at The Royal Albert Hall together.
