Fairy Door Trail at Painshill
Fairy Door Trail at Painshill
Painshill, in Surrey, invites families to enjoy an enchanting fairy tale adventure in a landscape full of stunning autumnal colour.
Wooden fairy doors will add a touch a magic to the beautiful woodlands, lake and gardens at Painshill this season. Ignite your child’s imagination and discover the secret worlds created by the fairies. See how many doors you can spot.
Painshill was designed in the 18th century as a living work of art. A walking route takes the visitor past a series of stunning views, bridges and follies that have featured in shows such as Netflix’s Bridgerton and ITV’s Vanity Fair.
The tiny doors will match many of Painshill’s features, with rustic doors around the thatched Hermitage and a mini temple by the Temple of Bacchus. Families can enjoy discovering the historic landscape including a fairy-tale tower hidden in the forest and the incredible Grotto covered in sparkling crystals that shimmer in the light.
As you wander the route you will be surrounded by autumn colour enabling you to soak up amazing views, crunch through fallen leaves, get back to nature and celebrate the season.
The fairy door trail at Painshill will be running from Saturday October 22 until Sunday November 13 and is included in general admission tickets. It is recommended to book in advance at painshill.co.uk.
