Kids can get active in Leicestershire soft plays

Parklands Soft Play
Parents looking for ways to get younger kids active during the autumn have no fewer than three top-quality soft plays to choose from in Leicestershire.

With indoor activity often favoured in the closing months of the year, Melton Sports Village, Enderby Leisure and Golf Centre and Parklands Leisure Centre – run by award-winning operator Everyone Active – have exactly what you’re looking for.

The state-of-the-art soft play at Melton Sports Village has been open for little more than two years.

It is a multi-level structure with dedicated baby, toddler and junior play zones, including slides, dizzy discs, giant building blocks, wobble bridges, wall games, interactive projectors and an interactive sports area.

Meanwhile, at Enderby Leisure and Golf Centre, the £300,000 soft play has been a popular addition since it launched in January 2024.

Suitable for up to around 180 youngsters at a time, it features a four-lane astra slide, traverse crawl tube, party rooms, sports arena and separate baby play area.

Parklands Leisure Centre in Leicester boasts a raft of soft play facilities, such as slides, a web crawl tunnel, trampolines and a dedicated area for those aged three and under, which includes a ball pool and fun brick house.

In addition to casual sessions, you can also book soft play birthday parties which will give kids memories that will last for years to come. Parties combine adventure, fantastic fun and safety, all in one go.

Across one 60-minute session, a soft play area will be available to your child and their friends, meaning they can climb, explore and play games.

Soft play is open to juniors, with the recommended age limit being 12 years old and adults will need to supervise children.

Additional fees will apply for food and extra leaders, with Everyone Active colleagues ensuring parents from the local community have an enjoyable, stress-free experience on the day.

For more information and to book, please use the Everyone Active app or website or phone your local centre.

James Naylor, Everyone Active’s area contract manager, said: “Local communities in Leicestershire have three fantastic soft plays on their doorstep which give kids the chance to get active, have fun and make new friends. We would encourage families to come down to our centres and see the great facilities we have on offer.”

Everyone Active runs leisure facilities in Leicestershire in partnership with local councils, which include Melton Sports Village (Melton Borough Council), Enderby Leisure and Golf Centre (Blaby District Council) and Parklands Leisure Centre (Oadby and Wigston Borough Council).
