Remember… remember… it’s nearly that time again. Bonfire Night is one of those brilliant British traditions that never quite loses its magic, whatever your age. From community club displays with a burger van and a bucket collection, to bigger organised shows with music and choreography, Leicestershire has plenty of options to help your family “ooh” and “aah” in style this November. I’ve pulled together the best, biggest and family-friendliest firework displays happening in and around the city, so you can find your perfect night out without the last-minute scramble for tickets.
Abbey Park Bonfire and Fireworks
Saturday 7th November 2026 | Gates open 5pm, quiet fireworks 6.45pm, main display 8pm
Leicester’s biggest fireworks event, right in the city at Abbey Park. Watch the traditional bonfire and enjoy two spectacular fireworks displays, a shorter, quieter show at 6.45pm for children and anyone who prefers less noise, followed by the big main display at 8pm, set to music with a countdown. There’s also live entertainment, a funfair, street food and a licensed bar to make a full evening of it. A wheelchair viewing area is available, and Blue Badge parking must be booked in advance. No parking at Abbey Park or nearby streets – walking, cycling or public transport is recommended.

Firework Display at Aylestone Park Football Club
Friday 6th November 2026 | Children’s display approx. 7.30pm, main display 8.45pm
A community night out right in the city, with Celestial Firework Displays delivering two high-quality firework shows. The famous Spud Man returns for a second year running, alongside main stage performances from local bands The Jamlocks and The Shotts, plus fairground rides and stalls.
Tickets: Family Ticket £25, Adult £10, Child £6. Under 4s free.

VAL Fireworks Festival at Leicester Racecourse
Saturday 7th November 2026 | Doors open 5pm
A big, glitzy night out featuring two award-winning fireworks displays, magic shows, family entertainment and a live DJ set from Pat Sharp! Doors open at 5pm, a children’s fireworks display at 7pm, Pat Sharp’s live DJ set from 7.30-8.30pm, then the main fireworks display at 8.45pm. Plenty of time to enjoy the entertainment before the sky lights up. Prices increase on the day, so early booking recommended.
Tickets: Advanced tickets from £12.50; Family tickets from £37.50 (2 adults, 2 under 18s).

Bonfire and Fireworks Night at Broom Leys Farm
Saturday 7th November 2026 | Low level noise approx. 5.15pm, main display approx. 7.45pm
Broom Leys Farm is teaming up with Broomleys Cricket Club for a night of celebrations. Gates open from 4pm. A low-noise fireworks display designed for younger children and those with auditory sensitivities at 5.15pm, followed by a big fireworks display at 7.45pm. Food vendors, bars, independent stalls, fairground rides and a DJ!

Fleckney Festival Fireworks
Sunday 8th November 2026 | Gates open 3pm
An evening of high-flying spectacle at Leicester Airport, with an Airborne Pyrotechnics Plane display at 4.40pm followed by the main fireworks at 6.30pm. There’s also a fairground, live music, and food and drink to enjoy throughout the evening. Free onsite parking.
Tickets: Adult (16+) £10, Child £5, Under 3s free. Plus booking fees.

Fireworks Night at Mallory Park
Friday 6th November 2026 | 5pm-10pm
The annual Bonfire & Fireworks display returns to Mallory Park Racing Circuit for an evening of fun for all the family. Alongside the bonfire and fireworks, there’s a fun fair, live music, hot food and a licensed bar. The evening runs to this schedule: parking opens 5pm, admission gates 5.30pm, bonfire lit 6pm, live music from 6.45pm, fireworks at 7.30pm, with live music continuing from 8pm. Toddlers aged 3 and under go free.

Bonfire & Fireworks Extravaganza at Great Central Railway
Thursday 5th November 2026 | Bonfire lighting 7:30pm, fireworks 8pm
One of Leicestershire’s biggest and best bonfire shows, held at Quorn & Woodhouse Station. A giant bonfire kicks off the evening, followed by a spectacular fireworks display, with children’s rides, food and entertainment stalls in the yard throughout. For an extra bit of magic, you can travel in by heritage steam train from Loughborough, Rothley or Leicester North stations rather than driving straight to Quorn. Advance booking only, no tickets available on the night.

Firework Show at The Moorings, Barrow Upon Soar
Saturday 7th November 2026 | DJ and BBQ from 6pm, fireworks at 8pm
A brilliant night by the river, back after 1,200 people joined last year! DJ Sunny plays from 6pm, alongside a BBQ and outside bar, with bouncy castles to keep the kids entertained before the fireworks light up the sky at 8pm. Tickets are limited, so it’s worth booking early.

Loughborough RFC & Wicked Hathern Fireworks Night
Saturday 7th November 2026 | Gates open 5pm
One of the favourite nights of the year returns to Loughborough Rugby Club. Bring the whole family for an evening packed with entertainment, great food, and two incredible professional fireworks displays. A low-noise children’s display at 6.45pm, followed by the main fireworks spectacular at 8pm. There’s a live DJ throughout the evening, fire eater shows, children’s funfair rides, street food and refreshments, a safe sparkler zone, and light-up toys available to buy. This is a ticket-only event, with no tickets available on the gate and no bonfire this year.

Harborough Fireworks Spectacular
Wednesday 4th November 2026 | Gates open 4pm
A sensational feast for the eyes and ears, with fireworks crafted by the award-winning Illusion Fireworks team. As well as the main display, there’s a roaring bonfire, a big funfair with classic rides and attractions, brand new Monster Truck rides, and lip-smacking food and drink, including mulled wine and cider from the licensed bar. Illuminating stalls sell sparklers and light-up toys for kids and adults alike. The evening runs to schedule: gates open 4pm, fairground rides just £2 each until 5pm, a kids’ low-noise fireworks display at 6pm (great for younger children), bonfire lighting at 7pm, and the main fireworks display between 7.30–8pm. Tickets go on sale 11am Friday 11th September, and registering in advance gets you 10% off. Free parking is available at the venue.

Fireworks Fiesta at Hinckley Rugby Club
Sunday 8th November 2026 | From 5pm, fireworks 7.30pm
One of the biggest fireworks displays in Leicestershire and South West Leicestershire, Fireworks Fiesta has become an annual tradition, drawing thousands of families and friends from across Hinckley, Nuneaton, Burbage, Market Bosworth, Leicester, Rugby, Coventry and Warwickshire. The funfair runs from 5pm with rides for all ages, plus crazy golf and a proper festive atmosphere. There’s amazing street food to keep everyone fed (stone-baked pizza, hog roast, Angus burgers, artisan sausage dogs and fresh waffles), and both indoor and outdoor bars open from 5pm. The main event is a professionally choreographed display from the legendary Jonathan’s Fireworks at approximately 7.30pm – dazzling colours, huge explosions and a spectacular soundtrack. One of Hinckley RFC’s biggest annual events, so tickets sell fast.

Low Noise Musical Fireworks at Prestwold Hall
Sunday 1st November 2026 | Gates open 5:30pm, fireworks 7:30pm
An intimate, cosy alternative set in the stunning grounds of Prestwold Hall, with tickets limited to keep the atmosphere relaxed. The breathtaking display is low noise and set to a magical Disney-inspired soundtrack, so everyone can enjoy the show without the loud bangs. Indulge in delicious street food, sip a gin and tonic or hot chocolate, and let little ones enjoy a selection of juvenile fair rides, plus a glow stall and fully stocked licensed bars. Please note: this is a car-based event, and sparklers aren’t permitted on site for health and safety reasons.

Twinlakes Fireworks
Tuesday 3rd November 2026
One of the Midlands’ most exciting fireworks nights’ with the display lit up over the lakes, theme park rides running in the dark, mini bonfires to keep you cosy, and food, drink and speciality bar stalls to see you through the evening. Pre-booking essential, including for season ticket holders and under 95cm children go free (but still need a ticket).

Fireworks Spectacular at Conkers
Friday 6th & Saturday 7th November 2026 | Doors 5pm, showtime 7.30pm
Two nights of fireworks displays in the heart of the National Forest. A laser show and fireworks, plus walkabout entertainers to keep the atmosphere buzzing. There’s plenty to keep the family busy beyond the main event too, fairground amusements and games, a glow stand, a Family Sparkler Station and Safety Sparkler Zone, and Conkachoo train rides. A varied food market covers dinner, with street food stalls, cafés and licensed bars dotted throughout the site. Free parking.

Low Noise Fireworks & Bonfire Party at West Lodge Farm Park
6th-7th November 2026 | 4.30pm-7.30pm
A lovely, gentler option for families with younger children or animal-loving little ones. Gather around Farmer Ed’s giant bonfire for an evening of autumn treats, family entertainment and festive atmosphere – toast marshmallows, tuck into street food, and enjoy indoor and outdoor play, animal petting sessions, barrel rides and a round of 9-hole adventure golf before the evening ends with a spectacular low noise firework display, designed to bring all the colour and excitement of a traditional show while being kinder for younger visitors (and the farm’s animals). One of West Lodge’s most popular events of the year, so it’s worth booking early. Worth noting this one’s a little further afield, on the Northamptonshire/Leicestershire border.
