Explosive experiments and thrilling tales at Brighton Dome this spring
As the days grow longer (and half term draws closer), Brighton Dome welcomes a packed-out season of children’s and family events.
This February half term, Little Angel Theatre bring their live-action adaptation of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt to the Corn Exchange (20–22 Feb). A family go on an expedition of a lifetime… but what will they find? Blending puppetry, music and song, this charming adaptation of Michael Rosen’s classic story will enchant audiences of all ages. And dive into the messy fun of Rude Science Live, presented by award-winning CBBC presenter Stefan Gates (19 Feb). With new, outrageous experiments for 2026, this high-energy show will surprise, delight and inspire young audiences with a love of science.

At Easter, enjoy the musical mayhem of Horrible Histories ─ The Concert (9–11 Apr), suitable for ages 5+. Featuring a live band performing songs from the BAFTA Award-winning TV series, this brand-new production follows the story of William Shakespeare attempting to create the greatest show on earth, with help from Henry VIII, Charles II and Cleopatra. What could possibly go wrong?!

Get stuck in with relaxed and fun Crafty Kids workshops (8 Feb and 15 Mar) and interactive theatre show Last Unicorn Airways (15 Mar). Join two whimsical baggage handlers as they recreate a fantastical round-the-world adventure, and discover a sensory installation for a unique immersive experience (recommended for ages 4–9). Later this year, Michael Rosen celebrates his 80th birthday with Nice! (7 Jun). Performing classics such as Chocolate Cake alongside new work, this one-man performance will enthral and captivate all ages, from the young to the young at heart.
