Christmas lights switch on dates – Solihull and Warwickshire
The switch on of the Christmas lights marks the start of the festivities in many town centres across Solihull and Warwickshire. Get into the Christmas spirit and head along to your local event.
15 November 2025 – Stratford Upon Avon
The lights switch-on will take place at 5:30pm. Fabulous entertainment and market stalls are available throughout the day. Join us for a full day of festive fun, live entertainment, and the big Christmas Lights Switch-On to kickstart the season!
16 November 2025 – Leamington Spa (The Parade)
Experience a magical evening filled with festive cheer, where the air is alive with music, laughter, and the delicious aroma of seasonal treats. Wander through a variety of food stalls offering something for everyone, enjoy live entertainment that will get the whole family smiling, and soak up the joyful atmosphere as the community comes together to celebrate. The evening builds to a dazzling finale with the spectacular Christmas lights switch-on at 5:30pm, illuminating the town in a glow of holiday spirit and officially marking the start of the festive season.
22 November 2025 – Touchwood, Solihull
The celebrations begin with our Christmas Launch Party hosted by DJ Mark! Join Santa and a very special Dame as they light up Touchwood with a spectacular Christmas lights switch-on from 4pm. Take part in the Tornado challenge to try and win yourself a prize, plus keep your eyes peeled for Yeti and the Explorer as they wander the centre spreading wintery mischief and cheer. Please note this is a free event, and does not require booking.
27 November 2025 – Knowle
The festive season is just around the corner – and in Knowle, that can only mean one thing: our much-loved Late Night Shopping and Christmas Light Switch-On is back! Mark your calendars, because this year’s celebrations take place on Thursday 27th November from 4:00pm. It promises to be a magical evening full of community spirit, twinkling lights, and festive cheer.
27 November 2025 – Warwick
Warwick’s popular Victorian Evening returns on Thursday 27 November, offering visitors the chance to step back in time and experience the sights, sounds and smells of a Victorian Christmas. Starting from 3pm with a Victorian market in the Square and rides and entertainment around the town centre, the performances get underway on the stage at 5pm, with the lights being switched on at 7pm by the Mayor of Warwick, Councillor Jackie D’Arcy.
28 November 2025 – Kenilworth High Street
The traditional event has been organised this year by Kenilworth Town Council, Old Town Community Events and the High Street Illuminations Committee, and will have entertainment, food, drink and real Reindeers from 5pm to 8pm, and the lights will be switched on at 6pm.
28 November 2025 – Balsall Common
Santa and his sleigh arriving at 4:00pm met with choirs of children from Balsall Common Primary School and Lady Katherine Leveson Primary School who will sing carols before the lights are switched on at 5:00pm ……………………. everyone is very welcome!
29 November 2025 – Shirley
29 November 2025 – Cubbington

30 November 2025 – Southam
Event begins at 3:00. Funfair. Lights switch on at 5:00.
30 November 2025 – Kenilworth Warwick Road
Market stalls, food, drink and fairground rides starting at 1pm. The music will start on the stage at 4pm to 8pm, with the lights being switched on at 6pm by the Mayor of Kenilworth, Councillor James Kennedy.
30 November 2025 – Whitnash
Taking place in a brand-new location at Acre Close from 3pm to 6:30pm. It’s set to be a fun afternoon of merriment and fun with funfair rides, crafts, treats and a chance to meet Father Christmas. The lights will be switched on at 5:30pm by the Mayor of Whitnash, Councillor Adrian Barton.
1 December 2025 – Dorridge
5:30pm. Join us for this family fun event celebrating the Annual Dorridge Christmas Light Switch On organised by James at Enzo and Co and the team from DM&co, with special thanks to our main sponsors The Forest and Pride in Gardens , there will be music, bar children’s rides and of course a visit from the main man himself.
5 December 2025 – Hampton in Arden
Get ready for an evening filled with festive cheer as we gather to witness the magical moment when the Village of Hampton-in-Arden is illuminated with beautiful Christmas lights. But that’s not all! The event will be graced with the presence of Santa Claus himself, along with other special guests who will add an extra sprinkle of joy to the festivities. 6 December 2025 – Catherine de Barnes
The annual Christmas Light switch on – including Christmas songs and nibbles – will be held on Saturday 6th December.
7 December 2025 – Cheswick Green
Join Cheswick Green Parish Council for the light switch on with Santa at 5.30pm in the village hall. A family disco, dancing, party games and refreshments will then be until 8.00pm.
