All Aboard for Free Family Fun at the Severn Valley Railway!

Head down to Kidderminster Town Station on Friday 27 June, where the Severn Valley Railway is hosting something really special; the very first stop of a brand-new interactive train ‘Inspiration’!

It’s all part of the big Railway 200 celebrations – marking 200 years since the birth of the modern railway. And trust us, this is no ordinary train!

🛤️ What is ‘Inspiration’?
It’s a fun, hands-on exhibition train that takes you on a journey through the past, present and future of Britain’s railways. With loads of fascinating stuff to explore, it’s perfect for curious kids and grown-ups!

🎟️ When can we go?
You can hop on board on 27, 28, and 29 June, and again on 5 and 6 July. It’s completely free, but you’ll need to book a timed slot in advance – just a small booking fee applies. (FREE spaces are Limited!)

🚂 What can we expect?

• Railway Firsts: Travel back in time and discover how trains have shaped everything from jobs and travel to movies and even clocks!

• Wonderlab on wheels: Get stuck into some brilliant interactive science and engineering activities – great for hands-on learners.

• Cool careers: Who knew working on the railway could mean saving wildlife, filming videos, or even coding?

📅 Make a weekend of it!
On 5 and 6 July, ‘Inspiration’ will be part of the SVR’s big Railway 200: Trains Through the Ages event. Expect everything from the famous steam engine ‘Tornado’ to the eco-friendly HydroFLEX, plus loads of other steam and diesel engines to explore. It’s the ultimate train-lover’s weekend!
