KIDS’ TV FAVOURITES AND ELE-FANTASTIC CONSERVATION FOR HALF TERM AT SAFARI PARK…
West Midlands Safari Park is excited to announce that popular children’s TV characters will be coming to meet and greet guests this February half-term.
The nine-day event, running from 15 to 23 February, will start with the return of Bluey, whose appearances at the Park sold out during previous meet and greet events last year.
PAW Patrol character Chase and Peppa Pig, will also be returning, alongside first-time appearances from much-loved pre-schooler character, Captain Barnacles from Octonauts.
PR & Events Executive, Bethan Davis, said, “We’re thrilled to welcome a fantastic lineup of beloved TV characters to West Midlands Safari Park this February half term! This is a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy magical meet-and-greet moments with their favourite characters while exploring everything the Park has to offer, as we reopen daily for our summer season.”
The characters will be making personal appearances at ticketed meet and greet sessions in the Park’s Safari Academy (at no additional cost to admission tickets) on the following dates:
Bluey – 15, 16 & 17 February
Peppa Pig – 18 & 19 February
Octonauts – Captain Barnacles – 20 & 21 February
PAW Patrol – Chase – 22 & 23 February
During the meet and greet session, guests in their group of up to six people will be able to meet and interact with the character and take a picture with them.
As well as the opportunity to meet a special character this half term, the Park’s conservation team is championing elephants and highlighting the amazing work they support with conservation partner, the Mali Elephant Project.
The African elephant population has decreased by around 90% in the last century, with an estimated 415,000 animals remaining.
The Mali Elephant Project protects a unique population of 550 sub-desert elephants and believes that conserving their natural habitats and promoting coexistence between humans and wildlife is crucial to ensuring the survival of these iconic animals.
Guests can hear about the project and plight of elephants in the wild, pledge their support and children will be able to earn a special sticker by telling the team what they’ve learned.
Additionally, families can take part in some fun elephant-themed arts and crafts and learn about the four resident African elephants at the Park.
Character appearances, the four-mile Safari Drive, walk-through areas, animal talks and encounters, are all included in the admission charge and children under the age of three are free.
Guests are encouraged to book online in advance for the best prices, and a pre-booked time slot for the meet and greet sessions is essential.
Adventure Theme Park rides are charged extra. Admission includes a Free Return to visit again within six months, only when booking online in advance.
