Red House School’s remarkable academic record continues with another year of incredible GCSE results

Pupils, parents and staff at Red House School in Norton are celebrating another year of incredible GCSE results which has seen 98.6% obtaining grades 9-4 (previously grades A*-C)
Dr Rebecca Ashcroft, Head at the independent school, said:
‘I am incredibly proud and delighted to announce another year of exceptional success at Red House School in the recent GCSE examinations. Our pupils have demonstrated remarkable dedication and hard work, leading to an outstanding set of results that reflect both their academic abilities and the unparalleled support provided by our dedicated and talented staff.’
‘This year, 98.6% of our pupils achieved grades 9-4 (A*-C), with almost 40% attaining the top grades of 9-8 (A*). These results surpass both local and national averages, highlighting the commitment to excellence that is at the heart of the Red House community.’
‘Today is about celebrating their personal achievements. We have watched with pleasure and considerable pride as these incredible young people have fulfilled their potential in our inspiring, nurturing and academically challenging environment.’
‘There are so many successes to celebrate today and individual Red House highlights include, Francesca who achieved a brilliant clean sweep of 11 grade 9’s across the board; Olivia who was awarded a superb 8 grade 9’s, and 2 grade 8’s; Ellie who achieved a magnificent 7 grade 9’s, 2 grade 8’s, 1 grade 7 and 1 grade 6; Loveday who was awarded 6 grade 9’s and 3 grade 8’s; Oscar who achieved 5 grade 9’s, 4 grade 8’s, 1 grade 7 and 1 grade 6; Sam who was awarded 5 grade 9’s, 3 grade 8’s, 1 grade 6 and 1 grade 5; Srujan who achieved 4 grade 9’s, 5 grade 8’s and 3 grade 7’s; and Ini who was awarded 4 grade 9’s, 4 grade 8’s and 2 grade 7’s.
Deputy Head Girl, Francesca who achieved a tremendous 11 A*s said: ‘ I am over the moon and beyond thrilled at my GCSE grades. 13 years at Red House School has really paid off. It was a team effort and I am immensely grateful to the wonderful staff and my parents for all of their unwavering support. I am very excited about embarking on the next stage of study at Sixth Form of A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.’
Head Girl, Olivia who achieved 8 grade 9’s and 2 grade 8’s said: ‘I was overjoyed to see my results this morning and to see that all of my hard work had paid off. I am really happy and I will be eternally grateful to the staff at Red House for all of their help and support over the years.’
Oscar was especially pleased with his 5 grade 9’s, 4 grade 8’s, 1 grade 7 and 1 grade 6 – ‘ I am absolutely buzzing with my GCSE grades. I achieved the top grades of 8s and 9’s in 9 GCSEs, including Maths and the Sciences. I am going on to study A levels in Maths, Physics and Geology at QE in Darlington and hope to study a STEM-related degree in the future’.
Ini was particularly proud of his high results, 4 grade 9’s, 4 grade 8’s, 2 grade 7’s and 1 grade 5 saying ‘I am thrilled with my GCSE results, particularly my 4 grade 9’s and 4 grade 8’s. I am going to study A levels in Further Maths, Maths, Physics and Economics at Sixth Form, and I am excited about what the next chapter of my academic journey will entail, but I know that Red House has prepared me well for those next steps.’
Dr Rebecca Ashcroft, continued:
‘Other Red House highlights include a 100% grade 9-7 pass rate in Physics and German, and 100% of our pupils achieved a grade 9-4 pass in Mathematics and the three sciences. Their successes embody the spirit of perseverance and academic excellence that we strive to instil in all our pupils.’
‘We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our students and their families. We also acknowledge the dedication of our staff, whose commitment to high-quality teaching and learning has played a pivotal role in these successes. We are very much looking forward to celebrating with the pupils and their families at our GCSE Celebration Evening in November.’
