Let’s Go See – “Entertain, Educate & Inspire” Educational Outreach

Once upon a time…

I started to write stories for my children when they were young to help explain where I’d been in my job as an airline pilot.   I know from my decades of flying that children find planes, pilots and travel magical and I relish the old days, pre 9/11 when we could invite them into the flightdeck inflight.

A few years later and following a glass of wine or two (like many good ideas) my friend Mike and I decided it would be fun to self-publish these stories.  We created the series “The Amazing Adventures of Pilot Ollie and Pilot Polly”, published 8 books and have sold 85,000+ books and activity maps.

The publishing journey was a steep but enjoyable learning curve, and we were inspired to create further content from the positive feedback we received including some lovely letters from children.

The next natural step was to bring these original stories to life in a series of animations and following a successful funding round, we created our first episodes of “Let’s Go See”.

Let’s Go See….

From the humble beginnings of improvised bedtime stories right through to our animated series, Let’s Go See, our mission has always been the same:

To Entertain, Educate, and Inspire children around the world about our world.

Let’s Go See is designed to interact with and support early years curriculums and embraces ancient history, modern life, sustainability, the environment and the all-important soft-skills of teamwork, inclusion and kindness.

How can we help?… I hear you say…

In July last year we released our second series of animations, educational ‘Mission Files’ and funky songs and were overjoyed to attract 1 Million views in just 90 days!

That said, in an animation world dominated by global giants, we need all the help we can get to gain global visibility, and you can help!

Our Education Outreach Plans…

Education is core to our brand, and we have partnered with educational consultants Hopscotch and child development expert Dr Amanda Gummer to identify opportunities for us to use Let’s Go See within the current education landscape and to deliver a unique, scalable, and impactful, educational programme that engages and inspires young people and their families.

Early years education is thankfully becoming a growing priority globally and our research has highlighted several ‘Trends’ where we can use key aspects of Let’s Go See to boost learning and narrow achievement gaps.

  • Trend 1: Literacy is key to life outcome. One in Five UK children do not have a single book at home. And 27% of 11-year-old British children did not reach the Age-Related Expected (ARE) reading levels.
  • Trend 2: There is a need to promote STEM subjects to young girls in a fun and engaging way.
  • Trend 3: The teaching of communication & languageand social & emotional learning are crucial in the early years.
  • Trend 4: There has been an explosion of ed-tech innovation such as AR which opens new and exciting learning possibilities.
  • Trend 5: The importance of Cultural Competencyin early childhood development in our multicultural world.

To address these trends, our educational outreach programme, designed by our team of experts includes the following:

  • Gifting every British child starting school in September 2024 three Let’s Go See books. That’s 2.25 Million books with a value exceeding £6M.
  • Supporting teachers with ready-made, interactive lesson plans.
  • Providing classroom activities based on the destinations visited by Let’s Go See.
  • Games and role-play to encourage teamwork and inclusion.
  • Take home activities to support hard working parents.

Literacy is key to so much. We know that lacking vital literacy skills holds a person back at every stage of their life. As a child they won’t be able to succeed at school, as a young adult they will be locked out of the job market, and as a parent they won’t be able to support their own child’s learning. This intergenerational cycle makes social mobility and a fairer society more difficult.


We are actively looking for corporate sponsorship for this outreach programme. A sponsor who understands the need to improve the educational outcome for every British child, their understanding of the world and its cultures whilst driving a passion to learn.

Sponsorship provides a huge positive long-lasting impact as the sponsor builds a long-term relationship with children, parents, and teachers.
