Unwrap Joy: Animal Gift Experiences

As Christmas approaches, parents and gift-givers are on the lookout for meaningful and memorable presents for the children in their lives. Move over traditional toys and gadgets (that many of us have too many of); the trend of gifting experiences has taken centre stage. Here are a few ideas that you can choose from for animal gift experiences in the West Midlands, focused on the Kidderminster, Stourbridge and Dudley areas of course.

*West Midland Safari Park
Simply buy a gift voucher, or for all-year-round joy, buy an annual pass.

Alternatively, you can purchase a VIP Experience in the following categories:
VIP tour,
Lion feed,
Lemur Feed,
Giraffe feed,
Star of the Sea Lion show,
Keeper for the day.

*WILD Zoological Park
If your child has a favourite animal, here’s a great idea – Adopt an animal with Wild! And make a big difference.
Please note there is a deadline for this as it’s a very popular one, so to ensure Santa’s head elf Theresa can get them dispatched on time, place your order before 18 Dec.

Wild Zoo also offers vouchers for animal V.I.P meet and greets (with Meerkats, Wallaby’s, Lorikeets and Marmosets), and zookeeper 1hr sessions.

*Dudley Zoo
Purchase a gift voucher or membership for the year.

Animal encounters here include feeding tigers, giraffes, lemurs, sea lions, spider monkeys, chimps, orangutans, and tapirs. Dudley Zoo also runs the ‘Be a Zookeeper for the day’ experiences, and ‘Adopt an animal’.

Dudley Zoo is a registered charity, so purchasing a gift from here also helps a local charity, every penny spent here makes a real difference and is gratefully received.

*Falconry Centre
Get up close and experience the thrill of flying and handling the birds at this falconry centre in Hagley (By Webbs). A variety of options are available for children and families (age 6+).

*Walk with Alpacas
At Severn Valley Alpacas, or, Farley Alpacas in Kidderminster.
(Santa visits Severn Valley Alpacas!).

Imagine the joy on a child’s face as they get up close and personal with fascinating creatures. These experiences not only entertain but also contribute to a child’s understanding of the animal kingdom.

Please, if you purchase from any of the above after reading this article, please let them know that Raring2go! Kidderminster and Stourbridge sent you 😊

Look out for another article tomorrow to cover ‘Thrill seekers’ and ‘Activity’ gift experiences for children.

Remember:

Before making a purchase, be sure to read the terms and conditions of the vouchers, including any age restrictions or expiration dates.

Consider the child’s interests and preferences to choose an experience that will truly be enjoyable for them.

Use the likes of Tesco Club vouchers and Blue Peter badges where possible! These often help with big days out if you have limited money.

If you want to gift an experience where purchasing the voucher in advance is not an option for one reason or another, simply make your own voucher, gift that, and then actually book and pay for the experience once you are ready!

If you have other suggestions to add to this list of animal gift experiences, please tell me by emailing kidderminster@raring2go.co.uk.
