Helmsley Walled Garden
Welcome to Helmsley Walled Garden,
a tranquil and inviting space nestling at the foot of the North York Moors. Built in 1758 the garden was originally designed to provide vegetables, fruit and flowers to the Feversham family at Duncombe Park. After World War One, the garden was leased out and became a commercial enterprise until 1982. It then fell into disuse and became overgrown.
Everyone can enjoy free entry to the Plant Centre and Gift Shop and The Vine House Café every day. Browse through our plant selection for the perfect plant for your garden; enjoy a cup of coffee and a delicious cake in the Vine House Café or chose from our range of locally produced jams, chutneys and biscuits in the Gift Shop.
