Family friendly events at Aston Hall this Halloween.
Ghostly Tales: Family Friendly Ghost Tour – 27 – 28 October
Families are invited to explore Aston Hall, one of Birmingham’s most haunted buildings, under the safety of daylight and accompanied by a member of our team.
Hear some of the most well-known of Aston’s ghost stories and try using dowsing rods to detect the presence of spirits as we look around this atmospheric old house together.
Suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years and accompanying adults. This experience is not suitable for adults not accompanying children.
Spaces are limited, pre-booking is essential. Your ticket includes general entrance into Aston Hall so you can wander, explore and enjoy.
Tickets are non-refundable.
The tour will continue for approximately 45min-1 hour and will include going upstairs. We don’t have a lift in Aston Hall, please see our accessibility information.
The Stable Yard Café and grounds are open from 11am-4pm with hot food served until 3pm.
Wrap up warm – Please wear warm clothing and sensible footwear, and Halloween costume is encouraged!
Aston Hall’oween – 29 October
Join us for some family friendly spooky fun. Explore the Hall, meet the witch hunter, a witch, and a real magician!
Magical characters will appear as you explore Aston Hall. You’ll see the witch hunter as he prowls the Hall looking for witches. Have a chat with the wise woman who is sure to have a cure for what ails you, and meet the magician as he shows there is more to the universe than we can see and hold…
And the big question, is the hall cursed by witchcraft? Join us to find out!
Aston Hall is open from 12pm to 4pm, with the last timed entrance to the Hall at 3pm. We have timed tickets to space out when people enter the Hall.
The Stable Yard Café and grounds are open from 11am-4pm.

Spooky Magic Lesson – Sun 30 Oct
Join Paul the Magician as he helps you create your very own spooky magic trick.
You’ll be given everything you need to design and make an amazing card trick that you’ll be able to keep, sure to wow your family and friends!
Essential information:
- It should take 45 minutes to learn the trick and create your own
- Suitable for children aged 6 and up, and adults of all ages.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Adults do not need a ticket unless they would like to take part.
The Hall and gift shop is open 12pm-4pm and the grounds and café are open 11am-4pm.
Entry to Aston Hall – The Spooky Magic Lesson does not include entry to the Hall. Aston Hall tickets for the day can to be booked seperately if you would like to explore the Hall.
