Bodenham Arboretum

Attractions

Described as ‘Worcestershire’s Hidden Garden,’ Bodenham Arboretum is home to some 3000 species of beautifully landscaped trees and shrubs – an internationally recognised Arboretum.

The seasons alone create an ever-changing canvas at the Arboretum, each with its own brand of beauty and you will always find something going on, from guided walks or relaxing yoga sessions to watercolour workshops and bushcraft lectures. Activities aside, Bodenham’s popular restaurant offers a fine dining experience, situated in a beautiful lakeside setting, serving home-reared meats and locally sourced produce.

Bodenham provides a much needed open space for people to enjoy and experience natural beauty whilst offering peace and tranquillity, a place where people can get outdoors and connect with nature.

We have over 5 miles of pathways to explore – 15 pools, plantations, dells and glades comprising over 3000 trees and shrubs, 300+ species of wildflowers, plants and grasses, providing habitats for flora and fauna, including 14 species of dragonfly and over 100 species of resident and migrating birds.  The working farm comprises 200 North Country mule ewes and pedigree Herefordshire cows – all accessible to the visitor.

Bodenham’s ethos of connecting with nature is also reflected in an extensive range of activities which run throughout the year from seasonal trails such as our Halloween Torch-Lit Pumpkin Walk to our recent introduction of outdoor yoga sessions.

Come and see our popular traditional Nativity scene in December.

Forest School:

We also play host to ‘The World Outside‘ a Forest School, accessed by just under 4000 children annually,  which offers Forest Exploration / Adventure Clubs and Bushcraft sessions allowing children of all ages to benefit from hands-on learning in a woodland environment.
