The Isle of Axholme Running Day
There’ll be visiting buses and cars, and frequent tours of the local area, the Isle of Axholme, using vintage buses.
What’s happening: The Isle of Axholme Running Day 2024, organised by the Doncaster Omnibus & Light Railway Society. Attractions include
- Sales stands
- Displays of vintage vehicles – cars, buses and lorries
- Motorbus tours of the local area
- A wide selection of trolleybuses providing rides throughout the day
- And all our usual attractions.
Our usual attractions include a selection of trolleybuses to ride on, Toy and Model Museum, The ‘Sunbeam’ Cycle Shop museum, 1950’s pre-fab home, The ‘Regal’ Lecture Theatre and Cinema and our open areas, including a nature trail.
The Museum also has a well-stocked shop and the Tea Trolley Café provides hot and cold sandwiches, light meals, cakes and drinks – all at reasonable prices.
Admission Prices: This event is a Premium Open Day and NOT INCLUDED in our unlimited re-admission offer so all admission tickets must be purchased on the day. For full details please check our Admission Prices page.
Getting to the Museum: We are running free buses to and from Doncaster at the beginning and end of the day. Further details will be posted here when available.
