Pirates vs Mermaids
AGES 4-6: Heave-ho and away we go! Stagecoach Balsall Common & Kenilworth are seeking pirates who will show off their swaggers and the mermaids who will sparkle and shine for our Summer 2025 Junior Workshop Pirates vs. Mermaids! Hoist the main sail and come aboard!
Me Hearty High School is the most distinguished pirate school on the seven seas and the trainee pirates can’t wait to graduate and become proper pirates. There is only one problem… none of them can swim! If they can’t swim they will fail their ‘Arrr’ levels and then what will they do? The answer to their problem lies with the mermaids, but the pirates do not like the mermaids and the mermaids do not like the pirates – will they ever find a way to get along?
For our summer workshop, children join us from Monday to Friday for a full week of rehearsals culminating in a show on Friday lunchtime, where each child participating will be entitled to claim a minimum of 2 free tickets.

Matilda Jnr
AGES 6- 18: Revolting children are welcome to join us for Matilda Jr – our Summer Workshop at Stagecoach Kenilworth!
Rebellion is nigh in Matilda Jr, a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson. Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence… and special powers!…and though unloved by her cruel parents she impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing, however, where headmistress Miss Trunchbull hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace!
Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, Matilda Jr is a joyous girl power romp. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
For our summer workshop, children join us from Monday to Friday for a full week of rehearsals culminating in 2 shows on Friday evening.
