Spooky Half Term at the Butterfly Farm
This October half term the Butterfly Farm will be celebrating the amazing migration story of the Monarch Butterfly, and why they are associated with Día de Muertos.
Visitors can expect to see plenty of beautiful Monarch butterflies flying freely throughout the Flight Area during the half term, providing a wonderful opportunity to see these iconic butterflies up close in our tropical rainforest environment.
Daily butterfly lifecycle minibeast demonstrations will take place at 11:30 am in the Discovery Zone, with the friendly and informative Education Team.
The Monarch butterfly is renowned for its remarkable long-distance migration. They arrive like clockwork each year in Mexico around early November, which coincides with Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations.
To see hundreds of spectacular butterflies, insects, reptiles, and spiders visit the Butterfly Farm from 10am to 5:30pm, last entry 5pm. Open every day of the week except Christmas Day. For more information including purchasing gift vouchers, admission prices and group rates, please visit the website at www.butterflyfarm.co.uk or telephone on 01789 299288.
