River Severn Canoes is open from Good Friday 2024.

Kinver Canal Kayak Hire:

Available daily 7th – 16th April during the Easter Holidays (and the rest of Spring / Summer on weekends and other school holidays)…

Enjoy a beautiful kayak trip on the Kinver Canal, starting & finishing at The Vine Pub.

Kayak for up to 1.5 hours along the picturesque canal to the first lock & back (a 2.8km round trip). A great trip for beginners or the more advanced, you will kayak in one of our sit-on-top kayaks, designed to be very sturdy on the water and easy to paddle. Buoyancy aids are provided as is a dry bag for your belongings.

End your trip with a delicious pizza in The Vine pub garden (payable & booked separately via the pub).

Hampton Loade to Arley

Ages 7+ • 2 hours • From £12.00 • Available daily

Taking approximately 2 hours, with a picnic stop, this beautiful paddle through the Severn Valley, takes you through scenic countryside and under bridges, all the way from Hampton Loade to Arley. Arley village is very pretty and has a footbridge, shop, cafe and pub.

Bridgnorth to Hampton Loade

Ages 7+ • 2 hours • From £12.00 • Available daily

Explore the little rapids and watch the countryside go by as you enjoy the sounds and sights of the river.

Hire your canoe in Bridgnorth and paddle this popular stretch of the River Severn, which takes around 4 hours, with a picnic stop along the way.

How many bridges will you see along the way? Finish your journey in the pretty village of Arley and before you go, walk across the footbridge and feed the many ducks and swans that like to hang around this part of the river.

Bridgnorth to Arley

Ages 7+ • 4 hours • From £14.00 • Available daily

Explore the little rapids and watch the countryside go by as you enjoy the sounds and sights of the river.

Taking approximately 4 hours, with a picnic or pub lunch stop, this beautiful 10.5-mile paddle through the Severn Valley, takes you through scenic countryside and under bridges, all the way from Bridgnorth to Arley. Arley village is very pretty and has a footbridge, shop, cafe and pub. The River and Rail is about halfway (approx 2 hours from Bridgnorth) where you can stop for a pub lunch. We recommend booking ahead. Or there are some little beach areas for picnics along the way. Dogs are welcome to come along too.

Hampton Loade to Bewdley

Ages 7+ • 4 hours • From £14.00 • Available daily

This beautiful 10-mile trip takes around 4 hours and offers some magnificent scenery, rapids and bridges. This self-guided canoe trip offers a lunchtime start, with the option to get the morning heritage train from Bewdley to Hampton Loade, if you wish to.

Stop for a break in Arley and get some refreshments at the Harbour Inn or the Riverside Tea rooms. There are also beach areas along the way for a rest and a picnic.

Then continue your journey to finish in beautiful Bewdley with its array of pubs, fish & chip shops and ice-cream parlour.

To start this trip you can either catch the Severn Valley Railway from Bewdley to Hampton Loade or meet us in the Hampton Loade National Trust car park opposite the River & Rail pub.

Train tickets aren’t included in this particular package and should be booked & paid for in advance directly with the Severn Valley Railway.

Bridgnorth to Bewdley

Ages 7+ • From £16 • 6 hours • Available daily

If you’d like to make even more of a day of it, choose our longest canoe trip from Bridgnorth to Bewdley.

This 14-mile trip takes around 5-6 hours and offers some magnificent scenery, rapids and bridges.

Stop for a picnic at the little beach area in Hampton Loade which is around 2 hours from Bridgnorth. Or you can enjoy a spot of lunch at The River & Rail pub which is in Hampton Loade as well (check availability & book in advance at www.riverrail.co.uk).

Finish your journey in beautiful Bewdley, with its array of pubs, fish & chip shops and ice cream parlour and get the steam train back to your car (tickets available to buy on booking your canoe trip with us), get a taxi back to Bridgnorth or collect your car (if parking a car at each end).
