Open Day at St John’s Church
Visit St John’s Church on Saturday 20th July for a Summer Open Day in Bromsgrove’s oldest, landmark building.
The Friends of St John’s, in partnership with Avoncroft Museum, will be celebrating the rich heritage found both in the church building and around Bromsgrove. Come and enjoy a full day of fun and inspiring crafts, alongside firm favourites!
The Summer Open Day will include
* Tower Open – ring the bells, enjoy views from the top (tower open 11.30am to 2.30pm, subject to weather conditions)
* Inspiring Craft – join Wendi & Leigh for a make and take session
* Timber Houses – learn about, and help to build, a timber house with the team from Avoncroft Museum.
* Meet the Historian – chat to Simon Henderson and learn some church secrets
* Play the Organ – have a go and take a look inside (11am to 12noon)
* Hunt for keys – where has the vicar put them!
* Meet The Bromsgrove Society – chat about local history
* View the Exhibition – church paintings and imagery on show
* Refreshments available throughout the day
We look forward to seeing you – feel free to come and explore the church and get a birds eye view of the town from the top of the tower.
The Open Day is held in support of the Spire Appeal at St John’s Church.
