Halloween Nights at Black Country Living Museum

Halloween Nights at Black Country Living Museum

Join the Black Country Living Museum this October half-term for a great family day out between 10am – 5pm*… or come later for HALLOWEEN NIGHTS from 6.30pm!!

Halloween Nights:

Prepare to be spooked as the Museum opens its doors to little devils and ghouls!

Bring the whole family along to enjoy a night of trick or treats around our historic shops and houses and experience thrilling street entertainment.

There’s plenty to get stuck into: brave the creepy crawlies and animals, meet our spooky characters – including circus performers, fire-jugglers and magicians – and put on your ghoulish dancing shoes. Don’t forget to join in our costume parade; there are prizes to be won for both adults and children for the best-dressed monstrous visitor.

New for this year…

Head to our new 1940s-60s high street and see how science fiction TV changed our thoughts of the unknown and the supernatural. Explore haunted factories to discover terrifying tales of old and for those who dare to descend ‘into the thick’ of our underground mine experience*, you will hear spooky tales from the past as you are guided around the dark tunnels. Watch out though, you never know what you might find down there…

Running daily between Saturday 28th – Tuesday 31st October 2023 from 6.30pm

Adults @ £20.00
Children aged 3-15yrs @ £14.00

(Please note: The Halloween Nights Underground Mine Experience has a recommended age limit of 10 and above).

*Or during the day… Pop in to discover the myths and superstitions of the Black Country. From black cats to magpies, to spilling the salt or walking under a ladder – there are superstitions a’plenty at the Museum this half term. Follow the family trail and find out what’s ailing these good folks – but will the quack doctor’s cure-all remedy really help them to lift their spirits?

Black Country Living Museum is an award-winning open air museum that tells the story of one of the very first industrialised landscapes in Britain.

Set across 26 acres, you’ll explore carefully reconstructed shops, houses and industrial areas that represent the Black Country’s story. You’ll learn how steam power, human ingenuity and an increasingly interconnected world transformed this region into a manufacturing powerhouse.

You’ll meet our historic characters who’ll tell you stories of what it was really like to live and work during this revolutionary period of history.

As you walk around, you’ll discover our collections, which were ‘Designated’ by Arts Council England in 2012, recognising their quality and national significance.

Most importantly, you’ll see history brought to life before your eyes – hear the clang of hammers, smell the smoke billowing from red brick chimneys and maybe even taste the best fish and chips in the Black Country!

Pay for one day and get a whole 12 months unlimited daytime entry – for absolutely no extra cost!
